Track Your SRD Appeal Status Online
If your SRD application was rejected, you have the right to appeal the decision within 30 days.
The Appeal Process (ITSAA)
When SASSA declines an application, it means they detected an alternative source of income, discrepancies in your records, or other disqualifying criteria during their verification checks with databases like UIF or SARS.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Visit the official appeal portal: Navigate to the ITSAA portal at srd.dsd.gov.za/appeals.
- Provide your credentials: Enter your 13-digit South African ID number and the mobile number you used to apply.
- Request a PIN: Click "Send PIN". You will receive an SMS with a One-Time Pin (OTP).
- Select the month: Choose the specific month that was declined that you wish to appeal.
- Submit your reason: Select the reason why you believe the decision was incorrect and submit the appeal.
Important Notes
Appeals can take up to 60-90 days to be processed. You must lodge a separate appeal for each month your application is declined.
